Obtain a new Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
1 Part 1 — Theory Test

Your Part 1 Test

Multiple-choice: 100 questions, requiring an overall score of 85%, with at least 20 correct answers in each of the four bands.

Driving Instructor Training FAQ

  1. What happens if I fail one of my DVSA tests?

You’re allowed up to 3 attempts per test by the DVSA. If you need an additional attempt for part 3, we’ll arrange 4 extra in-car hours to prepare you. Your franchise contract simply continues; no new upfront payment required.

  2. Can I leave after I qualify?

Yes, completely. The 24-week contract is aligned to your DVSA trainee licence period. Once you qualify, you’re free to leave with no further obligation. There’s no long-term contract and no exit fee.

  3. What’s included in the weekly payment?

Your weekly payment covers both your course repayment and your franchise fee. That means group support sessions, 1-1 support when you need it, access to the student lead dashboard, and all training materials. Nothing is charged on top.

  4. What’s the difference between standalone and franchise pathways?

Standalone is a clean one-off payment. You get all the training hours and online materials, and once delivered, we part ways. The franchise pathway spreads the cost over 24 weeks, includes your trainee licence support, materials, student leads, and ongoing support throughout your training period.

  5. Can i stay after my contract is completed?

Yes. If you choose to stay with Driverstation after qualifying, we offer a simple rolling monthly arrangement at a reduced rate. No minimum term, cancel any time. Staying is entirely your choice.

We Need More Instructors!

For many trainees, the trainee licence period is the most demanding stage of the journey.
The franchise route provides structure, guidance, and access to learners during this critical period, allowing you to start earning from lessons while you train, with the freedom to stay or leave once fully qualified.

Why Train With Driverstation?

Our program is split into 3 courses to align with the DVSA tests

  • DVSA-Aligned Training Structure: Our training is built around DVSA expectations for Parts 1, 2, and 3; no shortcuts, no reduced hours, no rushed preparation.
  • One Programme, No Pressure: Everyone follows the same core training. No upselling, no different treatment based on the route you choose, and no push to commit before you’re ready.
  • Your Choice, Your Timeline: Train independently or spread the cost through our franchise pathway. No forced commitments and the freedom to leave once you qualify.
  • Transparent, Cost-Based Pricing: Every cost is explained upfront and tied directly to training, support, or materials. No hidden fees, no surprise charges.
  • Support When It Actually Matters: The trainee licence period is where most people struggle. Our structure, guidance, and optional access to learners makes that stage significantly easier.

Most training providers want you tied in for 2 years.

Train with Driverstation, qualify, and leave whenever you’re ready.

No long contracts, no pressure
